Like  a film star on an international press tour, Yoram Avigad—newly appointed CEO of Israel’s flagship estate, Golan Heights Winery—has been making swift appearances across Europe. Avigad brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience in agribusiness, consumergoods, and the premium food and beverage sectors and an executive demeanour blending calm authority with sharp strategic focus. Avigad radiates the confidence of a man guiding one of the most consistently respected wineries in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Together with international sales & marketing manager Yael Gai, he touched down briefly in Amsterdam for a tasting dinner at The Lobby, hosted by importer De Monnik Dranken. Brand manager Joke Holster and junior brand manager Karlijn Vink orchestrated an evening that offered a rare opportunity: to taste some of the crown jewels crafted by the estate’s long-time and widely admired head winemaker, Victor Schoenfeld.
